Shout-out and farewell to Dang ol' Dangler of Los Bierdos, who will be parting ways from the UFL for the foreseeable future. Dangler was an impressive force and feared by many, the viking horns may have had something to do with it, but it was mostly the amazing tackles (to the flags and the players) he made. Safe journeys Dangler!! | Welcome back from the break, the current top 4 teams fought it out in one chilly windy weekend and in the end no one changed their standing rank, but the spread was reduced and there are now three teams with 6 wins for the season, and los bierdos still hanging onto the top with 7 wins. Game 1 - Unicychos (W) vs Los Bierdos (L)The Unicychos came into this weekend with a strong winning streak and had every intention of keeping it alive. The match-up appeared to be even to start off but the Unicychos brought the heat and relentlessly rolled through the Bierdos in the second half. Game 2 - Herons (W) vs Hot Dogs (L)The Hot Dogs return from the break with only one loss on the record, and the Herons were still flying with a 4-game winnig streak. Solid match through the first half which put the Herons up by two scores. The Hot Dogs cut down their deficit through the second half and made a strong push to take the lead by one point with 24 seconds remaining but was responded with a long run into the end-zone by Coin Purse. With around 10 seconds remaining the Hot Dogs received the ball yet again, and had a successful kick return for many yards. With 3 seconds left for the last play a controversial pass was sent to Raw Metal who was unable to definitively achieve possession and stay in bounds of the backside of the end-zone. Herons win. |
